Trinity (v1) wiederbeleben

Hallo zusammen,

habe gerade die Coolstream Trinity von meinen Eltern vor mir, welche nicht mehr booten will.
So wie ich das sehe, ist das noch eine alte v1 Trinity, auf der schwarzen Front steht unten rechts Trinity und auf dem Typenschild auf der Unterseite HDCST20140....

Geflasht hatte ich die Box schonmal mit einem NI Image, allerdings kann ich nicht mehr genau sagen, welche Version die letzte war. Vermutlich irgendwas von Anfang 2018.
Das ursprünlgiche Bootlog habe ich mit Dateiname 1.txt angehängt.

Daraufhin hatte ich ein bisschen im Netz gesucht, und das Recovery-Image von --- gefunden, auf einen USB Stick entpackt und geflasht. Danach hat die Box schon etwas mehr Lebenszeichen von sich gegeben, hat dann aber ab dem Logpunkt "Starting Neutrino" neugestartet (hiervon habe ich leider kein Log mehr).

Weiter gesucht, und hier auch nochmal das Recovery gefunden -> viewtopic.php?f=13&t=135
Geflasht, und jetzt sieht das Log fast so aus wie vorher (Anhang Dateiname 2.txt)

Als nächstes wollte ich das Recovery via UART starten, da bin ich allerdings über die Modellbezeichnung gestolpert. Im Dateianhang zu dem Thread ist die Trinity mit Apollo gekennzeichnet, in der Forumsauswahl hier jedoch mit Shiner? Oder ist das am Ende beides dasselbe, und ich kann problemlos die Apollo Version flashen (der Apollo Screenshot mit dem Jumper passt zu "meiner" Box, die ich vor mir habe)?

Hi,
ja, in diesem Fall sind Apollo und Shiner dasselbe (uldr und u-boot sind für beide identisch), bei Kernel und Image musst du aber für diese Box weiterhin auf Shiner achten!

PS: schade, dass du nicht auch den Anfang des Bootlogs gezeigt hast, in dem "Kasten" am Anfang steht nämlich, ob es sich um eine Shiner-Box oder womöglich doch um eine Kronos-Box (Trinity v2) handelt.

Super, vielen Dank für den schnellen Hinweis :smiley:
Habe gerade mal via UART geflasht, und jetzt läuft die Box wieder. Wer weiß, was da quergeschossen hat

Mit dem Konsolen-Startbildschirm ist mir eben gerade erst aufgefallen, dass da auch was von wegen Shiner, etc steht.
War in diesem Fall tatsächlich eine Shiner-Box :smile:

Guten Abend,
ich versuche seit ein paar Stunden verzweifelt meine Trinity wieder ins Leben zu rufen! Leider verzweifele ich gerade an einer Stelle. Vielleicht kann mir ja wer auf die Sprünge helfen!

Verbindung über TeraTerm mit Nullmodemkabel klappt.
Es ist eine Trinity Ver1. Shiner
Die dazugehörigen Dateien habe ich im Board geladen!
Den Log habe ich im Anhang angefügt...
Das Image ist " unable to read" was mache ich falsch?
Wäre echt über einen Tipp dankbar!

edit: andererseits kann der Kernel nicht geladen werden, obwohl er vorher scheinbar korrekt geflasht wurde. Wobei mich da die Dateigrösse auf dem Stick irritiert (laut Bild 7191968 Bytes gross, aber es werden danach nur 3145728 Bytes geschrieben). Denn die aktuelle Kernelgrösse ist im Download 2969840 Bytes, wo genau hast du die Dateien her???

Hey danke für deine prompte Antwort,
hatte leider gestern keine Zeit weiter zu forschen deshalb erst jetzt meine Rückmeldung.
Die Dateien habe ich hier vom Board so wie von unterschiedlichen collstream-Seiten!
Hatte es anfangs immer nur per Stick versucht und erst später mit der Variante per Nullmodemkabel

diese sind die letzten die ich versucht hatte. Muss ich die Kernel Datei mit WinRar entpacken?

Hey,
ich habe mich nochmal dran gesetzt aber leider immer noch kein Erfolg. Ist es auch möglich das ein technischer Defekt an der Box vorliegt und ein Bootvorgang nicht mehr möglich ist?
Habe die Dateien aus dem Board zur Recovery einer Trinity per Uart auf versucht auf die Box zu kopieren. Wobei immer beim einspielen des Images eine Fehlermeldung kommt!

Wenn dann Versuche das Image direkt vom Stick zu laden ( siehe Anhang Image Bild2) wird das Image eingespielt und mit ok bestätigt aber beim nächsten Start steht dort was von Ivalid boot device...
Ich bin leider etwas überfordert!

Hi,
sorry, hatte dich komplett vergessen... :(

Tu mir mal einen Gefallen, lösche mal alle Dateien von deinem USB-Stick und kopiere nur alles aus diesem Zip drauf. Danach gehst du nach folgendem How-To vor:
HD2 (Alle Boxen!) - Recovery von Kernel und Image via USB
Und bitte dabei wieder mitloggen (warum machst du eigentlich immer Bilder, man kann auch den Text rauskopieren, wäre mir sowieso lieber), und zwar den Flashversuch als auch den anschliessenden normalen Bootversuch...

Guten Abend,
habe mich mal mit den Dateien vom Don ans Werk gemacht... Und was soll ich sagen. Ich brauchte kein Log oder was auch sonst mehr zu erstellen! Es läuft!!!
Dankeschön! Saubere Dateien und ein wenig Ruhe bei der Ausführung sind wohl Gold wert!

Hallo und guten Abend!
Sorry das ich mich hier einfach so ranhänge. Habe nun seit 2 Tagen das Selbe Problem....
Wollte gerade meine Trinity versuchen mit der zip Datei vom o.g.link zu retten, jedoch ist dieser leider abgelaufen und nur noch kostenpflichtig im Abo zu bekommen.
Besteht eine kleine Möglichkeit die Datei nochmals zugänglich zu machen. Wäre wohl echt meine Rettung. Hatte zuvor das NG 2.5 drauf und nach dem Updateversuch auf das neue Image geht nix mehr. Verzweifel gerade. NUllmodemkabel hab ich leider nicht. Ging bisher immer per USB Recover

edit2: @kapitjoerg, wenn du magst, kannst du aus dem Zip direkt das Image aufs aktuelle Nightly updaten. Einfach das aktuelle Nightly runterladen und als "rootfs.arm.jffs2.nand" umbenannt damit die alte Datei auf dem Stick überschreiben.

Bin sprachlos! Was soll ich sagen....
Datei geladen, auf Stick entpackt und binnen weniger minuten LEBT die Box wieder!
Glaub mein Fehler war selbstgemacht. War zu dusselig die Image Datei wohl richtig umzubenennen.... :zipper_mouth:
Hatte nach nand noch .img stehen :rolling_eyes:
Asche auf mein Haupt.
Na fürs nächste mal weis ich es nun.
Nochmals vielen Dank für die prompte Hilfe.
